MONACO. The very tasty gastronomic meeting “Festival des Etoilés Monte-Carlo» (Festival of the starred chefs Monte-Carlo) presents the exclusive closing evening on November 27th, truly a date to mark on your agenda. The Festival began on 9 September, when to kick off the dances the starred chef Manon Fleury received the Italian starred chef Antonia Klugmann at the Elsa restaurant in Monte-Carlo Beach, so as to form a couple of all-female chefs for a memorable evening. The starred chef Antonia Klugmann, owner of the L’Argine restaurant in Vencò in Dolegna del Collio, promptly accepted Manon Fleury’s invitation for a 4-handed dinner at the Elsa restaurant where nature has been sublimed. The poetic and committed dialogue of their respective gastronomic talent has been expressed in 6 courses based on products of their terroir. On October 15, chef Alain Ducasse welcomed triple-starred chef Michel Guérard for a unique lunch and dinner at the Louis XV-Alain Ducasse à l’Hôtel de Paris restaurant. Michel Guérard – triple Michelin starred French chef and considered one of the forerunners of Nouvelle Cuisine in his restaurant Les Prés d’Eugénie – cooked side by side with triple starred chef Alain Ducasse. A complete experience of French gastronomy, during a six-star lunch and dinner! On November 5th the last 4-handed dinner featured the duo formed by starred chef Marcel Ravin and triple starred chef Mauro Colagreco who officiates at the Mirazur restaurant, elected best restaurant in the world in 2019 at the Blue Bay restaurant of the Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort . A starred duo inspired by Mediterranean flavors after the success of the dinner of Marcel Ravin with Michel Sarran last May. The conclusion will be a true apotheosis on November 27th, on the occasion of a gala evening. In the prestigious Salle Médecin, emblematic place of the Casino, this dinner will feature the starred chefs of Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer, a great first in the history of the Group. Manon Fleury, Marcel Ravin, Franck Cerutti, Dominique Lory and Yannick Alléno will create, all together, a dinner consisting of their “signature dishes”. A big surprise awaits the lucky ones: a meeting with the starred Chefs on the occasion of one of the Festival dinners. In the meantime, the Michelin Guide has confirmed all the 7 stars of the SBM restaurants: at the Hôtel de Paris, chef Dominique Lory thus retains the 3 Michelin stars at the Louis XV-Alain Ducasse restaurant and chef Franck Cerutti and his team continue to make the star shine at the Le Grill restaurant; while at the Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort Marcel Ravin makes his star shine more and more every day at the restaurant Le Blue Bay. But other chefs have also been able to put themselves to the test in 2021: at the Le Vistamar restaurant of the Hôtel Hermitage Monte-Carlo, chef Jean-Philippe Borro and his brigade have brilliantly taken the reins of the restaurant after Benoit Witz’s departure, allowing the restaurant to keep the star that shines for over 20 years. During the 2021 season, chef Manon Fleury was able to take over the Elsa restaurant at the Monte-Carlo Beach hotel with excellent results, where, here too, the flame of the star has never ceased to shine in the kitchen. A recognition of the work of chefs and brigades in these difficult times. «I would like to thank the incessant work of the chefs and brigades of the Resort – comments Jean-Jacques Pergant, advisor to the president in charge of hotel operations – They pursued the unique and exceptional vision of gastronomy in a very complicated period. The confirmation of seven Michelin Stars for this new year is proof that our values of excellence and the transmission of savoir-faire are still at work within the Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer Resort “. With its 7 stars in the Michelin Guide, SBM yet previews the second edition of the “Festival des Etoilés Monte-Carlo” consisting in the same very simple unsurpassable principle: therefore every month, from May to November 2022 (excluding July & August) the Michelin-starred restaurants of the Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer Group will offer unforgettable dinners signed by couples of starred chefs.
