Dear Followers, the 2021 season will be eventful, enchanting Monaco’s nightlife!
August 13, 2021 – MONTE-CARLO SPORTING SUMMER FESTIVAL – SALLE DES ÉTOILES – GIPSY KINGS FEAT – NICOLAS REYES – Immortal stars: children, grandchildren, brothers, cousins … In the large family of the Montpellier-Arles group, we approach the stage as four decades. The Gipsy Kings have drawn their strength from two Gypsy families whose family trees are themselves very extensive. On the one hand there is the Reyes family, originally from Arles, with Nicolas, singer and leading figure of the historic channel Gipsy Kings, not to mention his brothers Patchaï, Canut, Pablo and André. On the other, there is the Baliardo family, rooted in Montpellier, with Tonino, the solo guitarist, and the brothers Diego and Paco. This family was also that of Manitas de Plata, whose real name is Ricardo Baliardo. The Gipsy Kings record two discs: Bamboléo and Djobi, Djoba. These albums are a huge success in France and around the world, it is the beginning of a long series. They sing in Spanish a mixture of flamenco, pop and various light songs such as Catalan rumba. Information: Minimum age: 7 years – Mail: ticket office@sbm.mc – Official site: http://www.gipsykings.com/ – Concert type: Dinner show – Doors open: 20:00 – Concert starts: from 22 : 30 – Dress Code: jacket mandatory – Car service – Obligation to wear a mask.
August 14, 2021 – MONTE-CARLO SPORTING SUMMER FESTIVAL – SALLE DES ÉTOILES – SISTER SLEDGE – Formed in 1971, the group was initially made up of the four sisters Deborah, Joan, Kim and Kathy. Their career really took off two years later thanks to the title “Mama Never Told Me”. Curiously, it is in the UK that the public is initially enthusiastic and pushes the single into the top 20. The group still experiences a period of stagnation and, while the four sisters are on the verge of abandoning everything, their record house entrusted them to Bernard Edwards and Nile Rodgers. Immediately, the pairing with Chic paid off and the life-saving song “The Freak” hit the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100. However, their biggest hit will be “We Are Family” released in 1979, now considered a point of reference in the “Uptown Funk” era. For the first time, and a few months after Nile Rodgers & Chic took the stage at the Salle des Etoiles, it was Sister Sledge’s turn to take their seats behind the microphones on August 14 for the last concert. Information: Minimum age: 7 years – Mail: box office@sbm.mc – Official site: http://sistersledge.com/- Concert type: Dinner show – Doors open: 20:00 – Concert starts: from 22:30 – Dress Code: jacket mandatory – Car service – Obligation to wear a mask.
August 15, 2021, at 5 pm – CATHÉDRALE DE MONACO- 16TH INTERNATIONAL ORGAN FESTIVAL with Olivier Vernet and Cédric Meckler, organ performance for four hands, organised by the Department of Cultural Affairs
Until August 19, 2021 – GRIMALDI FORUM ESPACE INDIGO – EXHIBITION OF JEWELRY BY ARTISTS FROM PICASSO TO KOONS – THE DIANE VENET COLLECTION – Passionate about art, Diane VENET has bought her first artist’s jewel, a brooch by the painter Roy Lichtenstein , in New York in 1967. But it was her meeting with the sculptor Bernard Venet in 1985 that decided to set up, according to the encounters, preferences, and requests to artists, a collection dedicated to artist’s jewels . Diane Venet has gathered, in 30 years, a rich collection of over 230 artist’s jewels of which 180 will be exhibited for a month at the Grimaldi Forum Monaco. From Picasso to Jeff Koons, Roy Lichtenstein, Frank Stella, Niki de Saint-Phalle, Keith Haring or even Louise Bourgeois, Orlan, Miguel Chevalier… modern and contemporary, international and French artists will be represented. Who knows what is her favorite jewel of hers in this pantheon? Her jewelry collection is an integral part of her daily life, she never stopped wearing them. But exhibiting them and sharing a passion also makes perfect sense. The exhibition of these miniature masterpieces in international institutions since 2008 places them in the field of art. The jewel recreates the artist’s concerns in a reduced form or even the first idea, the concept, and is a preliminary step to any work.
The infinitely small meets the infinitely large. Diane Venet passionately endows each of her jewels with the status of a work of art. Proof of this is the fact that she likes to make “hers” miniatures of her dialogue with the sculptures of renowned artists: André Derain, Max Ernst, Frank Stella, Bernard Venet but here is the intimate gaze and commitment of a woman leading the exhibition. From the love of an artist to that of art, this collection is a tribute to the creation that Diane Venet reveals to us with modesty and talent. The visitor will thus meet another Giacometti, the one who experiences the limits of sculpture, and the formidable painter who practices, alongside the portrait, also the genres of landscape or still life. Pre-sale rate at € 6 until June 30th. Ticket office +377 99 99 30 00 or online: www.grimaldiforum.com

From January 2021 – GRIMALDI FORUM MONACO EQUIPPED WITH A NEW LED SCREEN FOR EXCEPTIONAL IMAGES – JOIN THE GRIMALDI FORUM COMMUNITY – Due to the success of its television studios since last September, the Grimaldi Forum Monaco (GFM) is optimizing its offer with a screen 10mx3m LED which places its new set among the most important in Southern Europe. GFM customers now have an optimal tool during their events to broadcast and view all kinds of content live on a 30m2 giant screen offering a unique and new generation decoration. The technology chosen is an indoor LED screen with a 2.5 mm pitch. It increases the quality of the rendering and allows those interested to appreciate the scale of the sets with a real depth of field that greatly enhances the effect produced. Thus, for example, the diffusion of the participants on the screen, both in mosaic and in full frame, is directly visible by the speaker or by the facilitator for whom the difficulty of the “weather map” technique no longer exists. Thanks to the axes of the real cameras, the view of the scenery changes with each change of frame, without virtual special effects. This new “premium” version has been included in the catalog of services offered by Studio TV by GFM for more than six months, in addition to its “standard” version. With a “green background”, the latter has already made it possible to create dozens of scenographies ranging from urban Monegasque, maritime or port landscapes thanks to a live camera placed in the 360 ° environment of the GFM, up to a tailor – personalize the decorations, headlines and customer logos in 3D. With an area of 50 m2 each, these 2 TV studios are available in three configurations: JT platform, congress stand or fair. They host up to 5 people on the set and an almost unlimited number of remote participants depending on the chosen platform. They can be installed in the Le Guelfe and Van Dongen spaces in a standard green screen version, and in Guelfe with a view of the superb Avenue Princesse Grace de Monaco, in a premium video wall version. Thanks to this technical service, the Grimaldi Forum makes its expertise in pre and post production available to its customers. On-set assistance begins as soon as the event is written with storyboards / scenarios and technical scripts. During the show, speakers also have access to a live information panel (presentations, teleprompters, timers, and a timeline showing the number of connected attendees and reactions). The other services offered range from on-site catering to the provision of lounge and rest areas, including make-up tables, nothing is left to chance, such as the statistics communicated afterwards that go even further. until a carbon footprint is established for the event. Developed in full health crisis to professionalize the offer of the Grimaldi Forum in terms of webinars and videoconferences, thus overcoming a situation in which it is impossible to meet physically, this television studio is now an integral part of the GFM offer. It constitutes a real added value for its customers who can now organize a 100% remote or hybrid event there in complete safety and with the utmost respect for health regulations and who will be able to use this system in the future to promote their own face to face and face the challenge. event beyond the capacity of the site.
