MONACO. We are finally leaving behind an ominous year, marked by the Covid pandemic. Just a year ago on 31 December 2019, China announced the coronavirus to the world. It was the beginning of a nightmare from which we can only now see the way out. 2020 was the year of fear and courage, of conquests and losses, of constant anxiety but also of gratitude for the little things that we did not appreciate before. COVID-19 has disrupted our lives and plunged the world into suffering and pain. We understood how difficult it can be to live without the hugs of the people we care about and without seeing their smiles. 2021 will be the year of rebirth thanks to the vaccine distributed all over the world. Today it is crucial to stay close to all our friends and loved ones and to hope for new opportunities, especially for those who have lost their jobs, are facing illness or a difficult time. Let’s try to be strong and see the silver lining of things. Doctors and nurses are the frontline, scientists are developing vaccines in record time, many countries are making new commitments to prevent climate catastrophe, and I hope from the bottom of my heart that everybody will find the way to help neighbors and foreigners. As the new year approaches, I invite you to open windows and doors to bring inside love, hope, health and dreams, in short, everything that 2020 has taken away from us. This is my sincere wish to the followers of this site which, pandemic permitting, will resume in February. HAPPY NEW YEAR!
