The events on the Côte d’Azur that have beautifully animated the 2018-2019 eve in Monaco continue in January, plus the unique Circus Festival Montecarlo and two famous Rally Automobile.
29 -30 and 31 December 2018 – PLACE DU CASINO – A unique and fabulous show took place on the Place du Casino de Monte-Carlo on the occasion of the new year celebrations, with spectacular illuminations on the façade. The magic of Christmas illuminated the night as the Casino de Monte-Carlo became the scene of an unforgettable experience, focused on the game’s theme. The Casino of Monte Carlo has been partying like never before; colors, sounds and magical projections have married the grandiose architecture of the place. A luminous fresco that has given the desire to discover the interior of an emblematic place of the Principality. A fantastic countdown to the twelve midnight tolls that marked the transition to the new year.

31 December 2018 – SALLE DES ÉTOILES – SPORTING CLUB MONTE-CARLO – LAURA PAUSINI – The star celebrated the arrival of the year 2019 reporting a great success: revealed in 1993 at the Sanremo Festival, Laura Pausini has become one of the biggest singer, both in Italy and in the rest of the world. She is the only Italian singer to have won 1 Grammy Awards® and 3 Latin Grammy Awards! And the French public loves her, since her debut with La Solitudine. It was in 1997 that she performed for the first time on the stage of the Salle des Étoiles. The artist presented her greatest hits and his new album entitled Fatti Sentire, released on March 16, 2018. This is the thirteen studio album of Laura Pausini broadcast all over the world in Italian and Spanish. from 24 December 2018 to 2 February 2019 – CHURCH OF ANNUNCIATION – SAINTE-RITA – NICE – LES SANTONS FOUQUE – After New York, Tokyo, Rome, Paris … a large nativity scene made up of figurines from the famous FOUQUE house is presented in the Church of the Annunciation, commonly known as the Sainte-Rita Church, in Nice. Every year, thousands of visitors come to Nice to discover the Christmas nativity scene in Sainte Rita, renewed every year and considered one of the most beautiful in Europe. For the first time, this crib is this year entirely made up of FOUQUE figurines. For this event, at the request of the organizers, the Maison FOUQUE laboratories have created specially large, 30 cm high “santon”. In addition to the traditional subjects that make up the Nativity, the emblematic Santons in Provence will also be present, including the famous Coup de Mistral ©, Blast of wind, considered the masterpiece of the art of santons. Santon FOUQUE are known and collected all over the world. They are unanimously recognized as a reference in terms of collection of santons, cribs, and decoration. From 22nd to 27th January 2019 – 87th EDITION OF MONTE-CARLO RALLY AUTOMOBILE – Wanted more compact but nevertheless very selective by the Organizing Committee of the Automobile Club of Monaco, the route of this 87th edition of the Rallye Automobile Monte-Carlo, inaugural round of the FIA World Rally Championship 2019 (WRC), should again be appreciated by participants despite the many difficulties it entails. Presentation of an event remodeled at 40% compared to that of 2018 and again endowed with many novelties … At the end of the race, Sunday 27th January, the day of the Sainte Dévote, the Patron Saint of Monaco, four times totaling 63.98 kilometers are to be disputed, without assistance, in the hinterland of the Alpes-Maritimes.
A final stage identical in all respects to that of the 2018 edition that the competitors will face twice between the timed sectors of “La Bollène-Vésubie / Peïra-Cava” (SS 13/15 – 18.41 km – 08h20 / 10h55 ) and “La Cabanette / Col de Braus” (SS 14/16 – 13.58 km – 09h08 / 12h18), which will act as Power Stage during the second pass. From January 30th to February 6th, 2019 – 22nd edition of RALLY AUTOMOBILE MONTE-CARLO HISTORIQUE – This 22nd edition of the Rallye Monte-Carlo Historique distinguishes itself by the diversity of its course, starting with the return of Milan and Athens as starting cities. A 2019 edition that the Organizing Committee of the “Automobile Club de Monaco” has wished to be as attractive as ever, with, most notably, regularity zones that have often been the most memorable moments of the event! This year, once again, numerous will be those who will fight for victory, and thereby succeed to Gianmaria Aghem and Diego Cumino, winners of the 2018 edition with their Lancia Fulvia Coupe 1200. Only three days after the arrival of the 87th Rallye Automobile Monte-Carlo, competitors authorized to race in the 22e Rallye Monte-Carlo Historique will have to face a selective course. As always, the Rallye Historique is reserved to those cars which have participated in the Rallye Automobile Monte-Carlo between 1955 and 1980. With the goal of having every competitor have a chance to rank honorably well, there will be, once more, in 2019, three averages to respect and keep up during the entirety of the event.According to tradition, the Gala and the Prize Giving will take place on the evening of Wednesday February 6th in the Salle des Etoiles du Monte-Carlo Sporting Club (evening dress mandatory or dark clothing mandatory). 2nd and 3rd February 2019, CIRQUE NEW GENERATION – CHAPITEAU DE FONTVIEILLE IN MONACO – New Generation, what a show of the young talents of the Circus! It will propose a panel of young artists in unexpected numbers of clowns, acrobats, magicians and animals that will perform with their numbers on the Festival track in front of an international jury to win the Gold Junior, the Silver Junior and the Bronze Junior Awards. This is the right way to guarantee the future of the circus thanks to these young hopes.
