by Ilio Masprone – Knight of the Principality of Monaco for cultural merits MONACO. In my quality of Chief Editor and owner of the Montecarlotimes Magazines, media partner of the La Route du Goût since its debut, yesterday October 11 2018 I was invited to attend the presentation of the 3rd Bio-Festival at the legendary MonteCarlo Country Club. Hereby the preview of this unmissable event. The Bio Festival will always remain the prerogative of the Principality of Monaco, a tiny country capable of great things! The Bio Festival is the unprecedented initiative by the Bio Chef Global Spirit Association chaired by the Michelin starred Organic Chef of the Monte-Carlo Beach, the Venitian Paolo Sari. It takes place in addition of La Route du Goût (The Road of Taste) organized for 4 years in Monaco.
La Route du Goût 2018 that will take place from Thursday 11 to Sunday 14 October will have the honor to receive the High Patronage of S.A.S Prince Albert II of Monaco. With the aim of raising public awareness of organic, local and seasonal gastronomy, La Route du Goût is a real rendez-vous where Chefs, producers, actors of the biological approach and major institutions of the Principality come together to offer the public fun and activities also rich in flavors. Ecology, health, youth and sport are at the heart of four days punctuated with workshops, culinary shows, green competitions and much more. The program includes an organic market, a floating vegetable garden, cooking demonstrations and of course food and wine tasting. Part of the profits from La Route du Goût will be used to continue charity actions undertaken in 2016 and 2017 and to initiate new ones. In symbiosis with the values of the Princely Foundation, the Route du Gout will take place from the port of Monaco on the Quai Antoine 1er. Many educational activities around biological cultures, practices of safeguarding the planet as well as culinary demonstrations by great chefs on healthy and organic food where kids and parents can participate together will take place. The Bio Chef Global Spirit Association will also present its innovative project, the Moses.Bio®, the first biodynamic village and managed agricultural production area floating on the sea. Moreover, private donations and funds gathered during previous Route du Gout help financing the building of an organic hotel school in Ambavanankarana, Madagascar, the setup of a new open air organic garden of 2 hectares in the region, and the support to a startup for an ecologic and sustainable ecosystem thanks to an irrigation project with water recycling and solar power.
The program will be punctuated by the traditional gala dinner that will take place Friday at Monte Carlo Beach. It will be prepared by the children in pairs with the Chiefs of the Principality. On Saturday afternoon, nine Michelin-starred Chefs will prepare dishes aboard the prestigious Riva boats for and with some lucky gourmets who have previously reserved their seats. Saturday night, the “Chefs Love The Planet” Gala Dinner will be held in partnership with the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation and the Bio Chef Global Spirit Association at the luxury Villa La Vigie. Ten Star Chiefs will prepare a dinner made exclusively from local, seasonal and organic ingredients. As media partner of the event since the first edition, we are looking forward to lasting throughout the years the discussion about organic food, ecology, health, the future of youth and of course the sport as a vehicle of peace.
