THE MOON BAR
Suspended somewhere between the sky and the sea, the roof-terrace at the Aston La Scala Hotel is home to the Moon Bar. The three things the Moon Bar’s Terrace promises are sunshine, a light cuisine and relaxation. Experience the calm of an exclusive terrace on the eighth floor of the Hotel, either shaded by palm trees or in the sunshine, decorated with jardinières of aromatic plants. The terrace, the swimming pool and the bar are open 7/7, 10am to 5pm from June to the end of September and more, depending from the weather that in Nice offers 300 days of sunshine a year.
The swimming pool and solarium strewn with sun loungers are exclusively reserved for Hotel Guests, to ensure tranquillity. In this way the privacy of the place is preserved. A lot of renovation work was carried out this winter on the 7th and 8th floors of the Hotel to make sure this magical venue opened again. The Moon Bar becomes a lounge bar with panoramic view from 6pm to midnight. Accompany your cocktails with sharing platters and tapas made by our Chef, Victor Marion.
The bar team is at your disposition for all your customized requests, with a rich election of Wines, Champagnes & Sparkling Wines, Aperitifs, Beers, Cold drinks, Hot drinks, the Aston and the classic Cocktails with and without alcohol, Waters, Spirits, Brandy& Liqueurs, Whiskey&Scotch, and the Tapas to share (for two): i.e. Charcuterie platter consists in an assortment of Iberian charcuterie, truffle-infused ham, salami and condiments; of course, we recommend the French cheese platter of Beaufort, marinated chèvre, fourme d’Ambert, Comté, dried fruits and condiments. The Mixed platter offers Spanish charcuterie, truffle-infused ham, Beaufort, marinated chèvre, camembert and condiments; the fish food lovers will pick out Sardines and Mussels marinated with lemon oil, seaweed butter. And the spreads! Preserves of bell pepper, cream of artichoke and olives tapenade are served on French baguette and crispy croutons.
THE L’HORLOGE RESTAURANT
The Restaurant l’HORLOGE welcomes you in the heart of Nice. Renowned for its excellent quality and reasonable prices, the Brasserie l’HORLOGE has been one of the best places to eat in Nice for a very long time. You will always get a warm welcome. The cuisine is generous and full of flavour, catering for the appetites of customers who savour good food, and come back time after time. The service is courteous and attentive, capable of giving detailed advice. We will make sure you have a pleasant experience in the chic surroundings of the Brasserie l’Horloge whether when reserving a table, or tasting the dishes proposed by our Chef, Victor Marion. Based on his impressive career, and with quiet confidence, our Chef Victor Marion proposes a creative and sublime Menu with impeccable produce from both the sea and land. On those special occasions, such as New Year’s Eve, Valentine’s Day or for a Wedding Anniversary, the whole team headed by Jean-Michel Lalanne, and his staff will welcome you and make sure you have an unforgettable time. At all times the Personnel pay particular attention to the service they provide and your specific needs. They are selected for their politeness, friendliness, knowledge and savoir-faire. The Restaurant l’Horloge, boasting a stunning view over the new Promenade du Paillon, has seating for 70 people, and a heated Terrace for 40 people. Hours: Breakfast from 7:30am to 11:30am; Lunch from 12 noon to 2pm; Dinner from 7pm to 10pm. Valet parking service for visitors.
THE ASTON CLUB
The ASTON Club is open all year from 5pm to Midnight. Take advantage of the breathtaking view over the Old Town of Nice from the 7th Floor of the Aston La Scala Hotel: the Place Masséna and its seven sculptures of ancient scribes, the rooftops and bell towers of the Old Town, the Mont Boron hills, the Mediterranean and its beaches, and the mountains of the Mercantour national park. You will love the Jazz, Blues and Soul atmosphere of the Moon BAR. You will be surprised by the intuition of the Barman when he concocts you one of his creations, of which only he knows the secret. Let him know your tastes and you will be surprised by his signature cocktail.
Choose one of our sharing platters which will make your drink that much more enjoyable: a choice of cold pork cuts and charcuterie, with cheese, tartine sandwiches, mini-burgers, smoked salmon or even Asian treats. And if you want entertainment… come and join us on Thursday nights for live music, or on Fridays for our informal networking evenings and on Saturdays for a DJ evening.
MEETINGS, EVENTS, SEMINARS AND CONFERENCES
Work areas: The Aston la Scala Hotel welcomes you for your seminars in our Art Deco style reception rooms. Personnel are assigned to these reception areas to welcome your guests in a professional manner, making your meetings both an agreeable and efficient experience. Our meeting rooms are mostly on the first floor, offering multiple flexible configurations and providing an environment conducive to a working atmosphere. All the rooms are hung with Art Photos by the local professional photographer Valéry Trillaud. The Galerie, at the central crossroads of these rooms is the ideal place to take a break. The Masséna Room is 126m2: Catering for 50 people in a U shape or 120 in class form, or up to 200 in theatre style, it is the Business Area which offers the biggest capacity. It is equipped with the latest technologies, particularly an excellent quality sound system and acoustics. The Provence Room is 52m2 and the Estérel Room 33m2: these 2 reception rooms adjoing the Massena Room.
They can be transformed into one large room which can accommodate 35 people in a U shape, 55 in a class form and 95 in theatre style. The Garibaldi 1 Room is 35m2 and the Garibaldi 2 Room is 36m2: these 2 reception rooms are near to the Massena Room. They can be transformed into one large room which can accommodate 35 people in a U shape, 50 in a class form and 80 in theatre style. Calm and welcoming, they allow you to organise your meetings in an atmosphere conducive to concentration. The Suffren Room is 38m2: during the day this room can accommodate 15 people in a U shape, 20 in a class form and 30 in theatre style. La mezzanine of the l’Horloge Restaurant is 30m2: this room can accommodate 30 people for a cocktail and 20 for a sit down meal.
RECEPTION AREAS:
Other than their tranquillity, our Reception Areas located on the 7th Floor of the Hotel provide undeniably and unanimously the best view over the city of Nice. The Livingstone panoramic Function Room is 238m2: celebrating an important day at the Aston, is living and offering your Guests a marvellous experience marked by an exceptional service. We will make sure that your event is an unforgettable moment orchestrated by our Seminar and Receptions Manager Jérôme Ingrassia and our Events Coordinator Rosanna Rocchia.
The Room can be divided into three separate parts depending on the size of your event. In its optimal configuration, it can accommodate up to 200 guests for your reception or could be easily be used for a corporate Annual General Meeting with 250 people. The ASTON Club and the Moon Bar could also be included in the organisation of your private events and receptions.
ROOMS & SUITES
In the heart of Nice, 4 star, luxury rooms and suites, entirely renovated in a modern and refined style with an unrestricted view over the rooftops of the Old Town and the gardens of the Promenade du Paillon. All Luxury Rooms are on the 6th floor and face south. On average they are 25m2, and have a private terrace with a stunning unique view over «Old Nice» and the Promenade du Paillon. These Luxury Rooms provide a haven of tranquillity for business users, but are also adapted to the needs of international holidaymakers looking for high comfort levels. Our Junior Suites are all South facing and are located on the 2nd and 3rd floors. On average they are 45m2, with a lounge area, providing space and modernity, and a view over «Old Nice» and the Promenade du Paillon. The spacious rooms have a sofa bed and can sleep up to 4 people. The bathroom is particularly large.
These Junior suites provide a haven of tranquillity for business users, but are also adapted to the needs of holidaymakers looking for comfort and well-being. They can have a connecting door to a Comfortable Room, thereby accommodating a family of 6 people. Perfect for honeymoons, they fulfil all the desires of romantic customers. The Penthouse Suite: a Magnificent Penthouse Suite of 50 m2, full of light, located on the 6th Floor of the Hotel, with a master bedroom and lounge area decorated in modern, refined tones. The Penthouse has an extraordinary 20m2, South facing private terrace with sun loungers and armchairs, just like a typical apartment in Nice. A breathtaking view over «Old Nice» and the Promenade du Paillon.
